Enzon Reveals New LNA Targets
--" Data will be presented at upcoming American Association for Cancer Research Meeting--

BRIDGEWATER, NJ – March 19, 2009 – Enzon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: ENZN) today announced new novel Locked Nucleic Acid (LNA) programs directed against, the Androgen receptor (AR) and Phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K/Akt)."  These targets are linked to a broad spectrum of cancers."  Enzon has licensed eight novel LNA targets from Santaris Pharma A/S.

The abstracts related to these new targets and other Enzon programs are now available at" www.aacr.org."  These data will be presented at the upcoming 2009 Annual Meeting of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) being held April 18-22, 2009 in Colorado.
