You are two brave women! The more I read about other women who've been through what I have, the more impressed I am and the stronger it makes me. I don't know how I could face another surgery, but if it means a flat abdomen, I'd surely give it a whirl.

You go! - FixMyChemoBrian

Amazing Strength

Your amazing strength shines through. Thank you for sharing your story. I also love your 'survivor's motto'. I haven't come close to feeling any sort of "emotional freedom" as you have. I pray that one day I will get to that place as well. I sincerely doubt that I will EVER say that I "would not trade" this experience for anything. I think at this point I would trade it for many, many things. I know that I am changing and growing as I go through this, but I really didn't want to change so dramatically or so quickly. I think, normally in life, one changes in a gradual manner but not when faced with breast cancer and the treatments for it.

I am scheduled for my DIEP flap surgery on August 4th so soon I too will have a flat tummy. I am praying that there won't be any complications with it but I will deal with it as it comes and will get through it as a stronger person. - Rita Z
